I promise to keep the newsletter short this month as everyone is busy with summer activities.

Dressage in the Sierra Update News

Hopefully everyone has received their invitation in the mail to our Dressage in the Sierra events!

Saturday evening horse-style wine tasting At the conclusion of Saturday's competition there will be a "horse-style" wine tasting in the competitors tent. Please plan to bring a bottle of wine with a horse related label (yes, stickers are ok!) to be shared and tasted.

Our bartenders, Charlie Curle, Jeff Lovig, Justin Lovig, Lou Christensen, and Volker Brommann will be happy to serve you! Cost is $5.00 and gets you a wineglass with the Dressage in the Sierra logo on it.

Here's what you may not know… The Saturday evening wine tasting has been sponsored by Sierra Feed and Saddlery and they are pulling out all the stops. They have hired Butcher Boy to cater the event with fantastic meat, cheese and vegetable trays. Prepare to be impressed! And PLEASE be sure to thank Ken for his continued generosity to the SNC club.

Also on Saturday, around lunch time we will celebrating our judge Peter Lert as he will be retiring from judging dressage and sport horse competitions at the conclusion of Dressage in the Sierra. How lucky we are to be his last show! Please join us to thank Peter for his years of service to the Dressage community.

FREE to approved home.16 year old imported Oldenburg schoolmaster. Rhondo is 17.1 hands and is a dapple bay. He does have maintenance issues but stays serviceably sound when maintained. Nice horse to learn dressage on but WILL NOT be able to do any upper level work or jumping. Wonderful ground manners and sweet personality.
