There's a lot of chapter business and announcements to share this month! We've had our first meeting of the new year and are making preparations for the 2007 season. Keep an eye on the Calendar page for upcoming events!
Chapter Meetings
Chapter meetings will be held the second Wednesday of each month unless otherwise determined by the Board of Directors. The location of the meeting will be determined at the prior meeting and announced on the web site.
The February meeting will be held out of order, on February 21st at 6:30pm. Location is TBA. Members are welcome to attend.

2006 Amateur Clinic
Congratulations to Lesley Grove, whose name was drawn for the 2007 CDS Amateur clinic! The clinic for the North Region will be held on April 26th-29th at Yarra Yarra Ranch in Pleasanton, Ca with Mette Rosencrantz. The first evening of the clinic will include a required introductory lecture and the following 3 days will be riding sessions. Auditors are invited and encouraged to attend all sessions and participate in the question and answer periods.
Spring Education and Junior Membership ~ Upcoming events
Victoria Myer is working on setting up a Bio Mechanics Clinic to be held this spring. We don't have any specifics yet but hope to have something in the works soon. Keep an eye on the announcement page for details.
Victoria Cliff has plans to host a meeting for the Junior membership and their parents to generate ideas for activities that the Juniors would like to do in coordination with the SNC club. Details to be announced!
Annual Meeting
Victoria Myer was the 2006 SNC representative at the annual meeting this January. She has summarized her experience at the meeting in a letter. Thank you Victoria for representing us!

Calling all Show Managers
We are currently looking for show managers for the April and July shows for 2007. We have enlisted Connie's help again this year and need a local CDS member to be onsite. Please contact any board member if you are interested in helping out!

- June 16th & 17th Franktown Meadows Dressage classic. Judge: TBA
- July 7th & 8th SNC-CDS Show. Judge: Louise Koch 'S'.
- July 22nd Equest Training Center CDS Show. Judge: Vicky Stashuk-Matisi 'R'
- August 24th USEF, USDF, SNC-CDS Show. Dressage in the Sierra I.
- August 25th & 26th USEF, USDF, SNC-CDS Show. Dressage in the Sierra II.

October 11th - 14th CDS Championships - Great American/USDF Reg. 7 (Woodside) - Last day to qualify 8/31/07.
The CDS Championship show has changed venues from the Murieta Equine Complex in Rancho Murieta to the Horse Park at Woodside, California. Their web page is http://www.horsepark.org/index.html
