- February 4-6. Golden State Dressage Show. Location: Rancho Murieta. Premiere USEF HP Qualifier. Judges: Lilo Fore, Jeanne Macdonald, Jane Weatherwax.
- February 11. SNC Chapter Meeting at 6:30 PM at Susan Ward's house. To keep things simple there will be no food or drinks at this meeting.
Greetings Everyone!
This February newsletter is going to be shorter than most. We have a huge agenda for our February meeting and will be sending out a more detailed newsletter after the meeting that will likely be a Feb/March newsletter. Please note that the meeting date has changed! The meeting will be on a Friday, February 11th at 6:30 at Susan's house. The agenda for the meeting is outlined below. If you have thoughts, comments or suggestions, please plan to attend.
Agenda- Annual awards dinner details - There is a possibility of changing the date for the awards dinner due to snow accumulation at Carolyn's house. We will be discussing dates in addition to catering, silent auction, invitations, awards etc.

- Streamlining entry forms (so all shows have the same form)

- Cindy will be reporting back on the annual meeting

Golden State show updates
The December/January snow is still with us - at least at our house. We keep receiving show premiums in the mail for upcoming spring shows and are wondering if we'll even be able to make it by May at this rate. We haven't been able to ride for months (it seems) and we still have several feet in places! How many more months until spring??
If you are planning to head to Rancho for their shows, here's some helpful information… from Connie Davenport:
THE PREMIERE - FEBRUARY 4-6 AT RANCHO MURIETA (TWO COVERED ARENAS!)People have told me that there is a rumor that the show is full but this is not true!
We are honored to be hosting a USEF-HP qualifier as part of the show and hope that the Northern California competitors justify this designation. The Festival of Champions at Gladstone has been cancelled, but there will be a USEF-HP National Championship. Competing in these classes is also the route to the additional opportunities offered by the USEF-HP to its elite riders.
If you still need a prize list, please email back and we will send a pdf.
APRIL 7-10 - CDI 3* AND FESTIVAL AT RANCHO MURIETA
The area hotels say that this will be a busy week and weekend, so make your reservations early. The show recommendations are in the prize lists that were mailed this week.
JULY 7-10 - PEBBLE BEACH DRESSAGE AND CDI 3*
Again, a hotel problem, so if you are thinking of attending this show, please make reservations early. The host hotel is the Carmel Mission Inn in Carmel Valley - 800-348-9090. Other possibilities can be found through Monterey Peninsula Reservations - 888-655-3424 or 831-655-3487. There is no charge for their services.
